Hard start after pumping gas? Tony, you have filled the car up with contaminated gas. Have it check out for it and have the fuel system clean out/ service.

Or if every time you fill up the tank and have this hard start problem: It the fuel tank vent valve malfunction or the EVAP purge valve need to be checked out and replace. HTH

  • I have 2004 Honda Pilot starting problem.The car starts when the gas are press lightly? But if the car misses to start on the first try, it would be hardtime, sometimes I need to try 4 times with pressing the gas all the way to get started. All of you input and help is highly appreciated.
  • Every time I stop to get gas in my 2003 Honda element, it has trouble starting? My car recently had a completely new engine put in and now when I get gas it takes a few tries to get it started. So I put a new battery in and now I have to put my foot on the gas pedal while starting it for it to start. But it's only when I stop to get gas this happens.   • Honda Civic having a hard time warming up? I drive a 2008 Civic LX and when its 10 degrees fahrenheit or colder the engine has to sit about 5-10 minutes warming up! If I wait just several minutes the car won't fully warm up til about 20-25 minutes later driving at 35-60mph. ALSO the car oftentimes gets colder, say I'm coasting or just driving 45 through town the temp gauge loses "temperature". Is there anything to worry about? My Volkswagen always warmed up within a few miles and stayed "warm".
  • Having a hard time starting my car. What could it be? I have a 2000 honda civic. I have an exhaust problem, and every morning when I go to turn it on its takes a while. I have to turn the key like 4 times before it actually starts up. At first it chokes up while trying to turn on… Any ideas as to what I can do?
