White spots on top of car?

These white spots appeared on the top of my black honda civic. I was thinking oxidation from rail rust but it seems like too big of an area for that. It's pretty darn hot where I live so I was also thinking the top coat could have melted or burnt. Does anyone know what it is and how I can fix it?

I have the same problem with a black Nissan centra

That is the clear coat that is separating from the color coat. Nothing you can do about it. My brother lives in Georgia where it is hot and humid. He made the mistake of putting an old parachute over his car in an attempt to protect it from the sun. The parachute acted like an oven and all of his clear coat just peeled off!

I have seen other cars losing their clear coat, I suspect it is from car wash scrubbing wheels that are scrubbing on the car too hard. But that's just my own thoughts.

The sun has damaged your clear coat, really the only way to fix it is a repaint

That would be the clear coat beginning to blister and come off.

Clear coat going, sorry. Happens too often where I live, All you can do is recoat it. Try to get best anti-UV you can, this time.

White fades the least. I've seen whiter cars outlast any other color, even with a clear coat.

Age. Time to repaint.

Spot spray the car top and later buy a car cover. You can get one from Amazon, eBay, Shopatronics, ect.
