Why did my car get so loud?
I have a 2002 Honda Civic lx. Recently it got really loud. The noise happens when i press on the gas. It sounds like i'm driving a motorcycle when its a small car. Just don't know much about cars and need some help. I looked under the hood and realized a crack. I don't know if it means anything but ill post the picture if it helps. Any info is appreciated!
That looks like a coil cover, no problem. Sounds like an exhaust leak to me, like a hole in the muffler or pipe.
That is just the exhaust cover in your picture. I don't see the crack.
It usually crack at the flex pipe, but it can crack anywhere in your exhaust system.
I agree with Pilsner Man, a leak (hole or crack) somewhere in the exhaust system.

I have a 96 Honda odyssey its a pretty old car but its my first car so I wanna get at least another year or 2 out of it the engine is fine but the car is so loud and when I go 35 down a road it feels like I'm going 20mph, I got the car like that as it was a gift so I could have my own car but I just wanna know is it worth even trying to get the loud noise fixed an maybe make the car go alittle faster? Or should I just go lease a newer car?

- I have a 2012 Honda Accord. All of the sudden the car has been making a loud roaring noise while acclerating? The noise disipates when you take your foot off the gas. The noise is in the front left side of the vehicle. Just recently flushed the transmission with no resolbe. Any suggestions?
