Why does my car shake?
Timming belt was changed but had a oil leake after that. (Didn't have one before). I put oil in the car because I assumed it was low and right after I put Arco gas in it(was running on empty). Right after doing this the car started to shake and felt like it was going to turn off. Check engine light began to blink, battery light would kinda light up. I would reive the engine and it would be fine. This happens only when I have the car at a stop or light.
It's a Honda Civic 2004.
Perhaps it shakes because it's tired of having an IDIOT for an owner. Why would you ASSUME that the engine is low on oil when it's so easy to check and be certain of the condition BEFORE you add more oil. Having too much oil in the crankcase can be just as bad as not having enough. Odds are that you have OVER-SERVICED the engine oil and THAT is what is causing your engine to idle slowly which causes the rest of your "problems."
If you've over filled it get it out now that will cause never ending oil leaks if you don't know what your doing get help.
Read the workshop manual about the job your going to do before you touch the car

- Why does my 2008 Honda Fit intermittently shake when AC is on, in drive, and foot on brake? The shake is every 2 to 10 seconds, darn short each time, and hardly strong. (If it happens when I'm driving then it would be hard to notice). It definitely does not happen when in park or the AC is off. Three weeks ago I got a rebuilt transmission. This started for the first time 3 days ago.
- Why does my car shake when I accelerate? Every time I drive my car i press the gas and it has a bad rumbling on the right side of the car. The rumbling starts from 1mph to 30 mph. The faster I go, the sound goes away. It also shakes very little and it makes my steering wheel shake very light. I'm going to take it to a mechanic but if anyone knows and can give me suggestions before getting it serviced. It's a 2009 honda civic ex
