Why is memorable JDM cars era over?

For all the people who love Japanese cars and the drift and tuning world is easy to make a "top 50" of the best models from 1980 to 2002. Those years are pretty much the golden era of all this. At the JDM meeting we can see more older japanese cars, which is not bad at all! But now? Why aren't there no more memorable JDM cars? Why the new Honda NSX doens't look like the greatest (and older) one? Why everybody can't feel the Nissan GTR "R25" like the heir of the R34? Why it seems like only the Subaru is making good cars? Why Civic was ruined? Why there's no more new Silvia?

Why the hell today japanese sport cars are not good as the past generation?

The only thing I can think of is that they had a gentlemen's agreement about limiting the power of these cars back in the day, and as a result they didn't really have anywhere to go after the late 90s, sales dropped and then the cars were dropped.

  • Why do people get mad over the fact that their cars require full synthetic oil? I work as a mechanic and found some people do not like the fact 2010 and up toyotas and Hondas and almost all 2014 cars and European cars require full synthetic oil. A majority of the anger comes towards toyotas and Hondas. Despite me explaining the increased intervals, they still get angered at the fact. Is it just me or does less time doing oil changes that save you more money in the long run end up coming out cheaper despite the increased price and why would they be angry saving money?
  • Why do Honda JDM drivers think they are badass? Well today I was behind a white Ferrari 458 Italia. When all of a sudden one of those Honda ppl pulled up trying to show off his souped up car. It was sad because he thought his Honda was better. I'm just wondering why Honda drivers think their car is the best?
  • Where to buy a cheap '94 Prelude and JDM parts? I need some places to look for a Honda prelude '94 I can't seem to find any. Also any reliable sites that sell cheap JDM parts for the Honda prelude? ~ Thanks
  • What kind of cars are safe from flipping over? The freeway next to my house has had several Honda oddyseys flip over. Noone was killed though. Alot of white drivers texting and drinking drive and getting away with it as part of privilege, what cars can prevent flipping over to buy.
