Why is my clutch so easy to press down on?

I have a '96 Honda Civic Ex v-tech engine 5-speed transmission and the last few days I noticed that when I pressed my clutch down it's way too easy. There's supposed to be a little resistance but there's like none at all. I was going up a hill two days ago and I pressed down on the clutch to switch gears and it's like I didn't even press down on it I couldn't switch out of fifth… There's a small leak under my car, not sure what it's from, it felt like water to me but could that be a problem possibly? Is there like a clutch fluid or something?

The clutch hydraulic system start to leak and it could be anything from a clutch master cylinder, its hose or the clutch slave cylinder need to be replaced. The first thing you'll need to do is to really find out what is leaking under the car. Your description fits the slave cylinder has started to leak, either the hose or the cylinder has to be replaced. The following three parts videos will show you how to check and repair:

But if it's time for a complete clutch job. This video will show you how:

  • My Honda S2000 Clutch pedal thumps as I press down on it as if it gets stuck for a quick second. Why? I think it got worse, not when I try to Press all the way down on the gas on the free way to go fast, the RPMs shoot way faster and the MPH moves very very slowly? Any ideas?
