Why isn't my heater on my 98 honda civic lx working?
Well i have a 98 honda civic lx that the heter is not working on. The car was sitting on my driveway the whole winter of last year until i finished rebuilding the engine. Everything on the car is new. I replaced the stock radiator and fan, it has a new water pump and aftermarket hose for the antifreeze and heater and also a brand new thermostat but some how it isn't working. It blows hot air yes but not all the time and when it does its not even hot hot. Its warm. I have made sure that everything works how it should and it does which is why i'm on here asking for help… Thanks for thoes who do help me and take the time to reply.
There's a heater valve for $20
Put your hand/ fingers over the inlet and outlet hoses to the heater core. Does both feel hot to the touch? If not, check the cable control to the heater valve. The mode door control actuator may have failed.
Edit: This wiring diagram may help if you run into electrical problem:
- Why isn't the Honda City available in North America? When I visit India, I see a lot of Honda City cars on the roads. I was just wondering why it's not available in North America
- Why isn't my 1989 honda vtr 250 getting a spark? I just bought a 1989 honda vtr 250 it has a strong crank like it wants to start but won't start. The battery was bad so I had to use a bigger battery from my dad's motorcycle and it would crank stron but still nothing. We took out the spark plug and put it in the wire and held it near frame and no spark at all while cranking, could it be a bad ignition coil, rectifier, or stator or what?
- If my 92 honda key isn't working, can I replace just the part where the key goes in, or do I have to do more? They are telling me that with installation, it will be like $300 at least, My friend just had the same problem, but in an much older pick up, but she said they just replaced a small part where they ket goes in?
- Why isn't my 1995 Honda Civic starting? I have a 95 Honda Civic that only starts SOMETIMES. I noticed there's a subtle clicking noise that NEEDS TO HAPPEN before I turn the car on and it does this inconsistently. It's not the battery since I just replaced it. In order for me to turn the car on I have to turn the key back and forth until that clicking noise happens then it turns on. What is it?
