Will I be judged for driving a lousy car to a fine restuarant?

I'm by no means rich. But I have an anniversary coming up and to make it special I've saved enough to take my So to a nice 5 star restaurant. But, I drive a really lousy car. Will I be judged? I feel so bad thinking about pulling up in this old clunker and everyone else has a nice Beemer or something. D: I have a 2006 Honda Civic with a bumper that's on the verge of just falling off. It's hanging on by glue and prayers. It also has a semi-loud squeaky rattle when turning. Should I just give this whole ideaup and go somewhere else with my money?

If you're that worried about what they think take a cab, just tell them it's a big night and you plan on having a few drinks.

Take a taxi or park your car somewhere else and take a walk. Rich people walk too, you know, it is good for them

I rode a bike to a 5 star restaurant once.

The people already inside the restaurant are not going to see what kind of car you arrived in anyway. If you are worried about valet parking and what the guys parking the cars are going to think of your car, then do not use valet parking service. You don't HAVE to, if you don't want to. Park somewhere else, and simply walk into the restaurant.

Don't belittle yourself.
Don't forget any condensing restaurant staff are just like the rest of us in a job. If they are so great they wouldn't be working there.
If you're really uncomfortable make humour out it. Most people love a laugh and takes the edge off anything uncomfortable.
"You should have seen my other car"
"Our anniversary, had to get the same car for when we first met"
I hope you have a night full of laughs and understanding.
Have a lovely evening
