At what miles would a new car breakdown if you did 0 maintenance?
2019 Honda CR-V.
It's totally impossible to say. Depends a lot on how it is driven, the climate it is in, the road conditions and a number of other things.
It is STUPID to think about that. Maintain your vehicle. You could DIE or cause the DEATHS of other people driving with worn tires.
Impossible to say.
The oil would be worthless by 20,000 but even then it may not die. I was surprised how many miles I got out of crs when I said that I was not going to spend another dime on them.
Leased a car and did no maintenance at all and it was fine at 80,000 miles. Don't know what happened after that nor do I care. Not my problem!
I know of someone that did that… Never did an oil change on a brand new car. The car made it approx 29K km ( ~18K miles ) before the engine seized. The engine oil had solidified
Oil and filter changes need to be done every 3,000 miles if running regular motor oil and every 5,000 miles if running synthetic oil.
Lease a car if you're not going to take care of it.
What a stupid question.
With zero maintenance any car, regardless of brand will break down as soon as the oil no longer does its job. About 50,000 miles.
Somewhere between 0 and 250,000 miles.
It's really depends on how bad you abused it.
- What would you do if a lady around 30-37 told you that you were useless and would never amount to anything? She's a well dressed white lady with a brand new Honda SUV and she has a daughter that looks about 12 that is also well dressed and the girl is being rude and both are being very rude to the guy at the counter at Subway. Would it be wrong to curse out the old witch who tried to start a fight and cursed out the subway worker and you?
- What is the most reliable car you've ever owned and how many miles did you put on it? Mine was Honda Passport with 250,000 miles bought brand new. Yeah I know it was rebadged Isuzu Rodeo but it was surprisingly reliable with no major problems.
- Did you know that Philippines is so poor that if you own a car people will think you're rich? I live in the Philippines and I own a 2013 Honda Fit and I sometimes drive it when I go to the University, it's not even expensive. And my friends think I'm rich. Most people here only use underbone motorcycles for transportation, most families don't even own a car.
- Would you buy a used Honda Civic that had no maintenance done? Has 100,000 miles. Only things done were synthetic oil/filter change and air and cabin filters. Spark plugs, ATF, brake fluid, etc never done. Has timing chain. Would you still buy it or would it have problems due to no maintenance being done?
