I have a 2000 Honda Crv with an electrical short?
I have a 2000 Honda Crv that has a short, if it sits overnight, it will run the battery down to being dead
I put the multtestor on it and it shows an excessive draw in the condenser fan fuse line. I put a new condenser cooling fan on it and it still shows the same.Had battery tested, it is fine. What could be wrong?
You are not diagnosing it correctly. I don't know what your "multtestor" is but you should have just unplugged the condenser fan over night to see if the battery still went dead before just replacing the fan.
Try unbolting the red power cable at the alternator over night. I'm betting you have a bad diode in the alternator causing your draw. Make sure to put electrical tape around the wire so you don't short it to ground.
Pull the condenser fan relay and check the draw, Relay could be shorting/sticking or the control power to the relay is constantly feeding power to the relay.
Must be a short in the AC wiring someplace.
