Is it possible to modify my Honda CRV? If so much will it cost to modify?
Added (1). I'm planning to ship my CRV to UK from US, and from UK, by road to India. I want to make mainly three modifications.
Mine is a 2005 model second generation CRV.
1. Main modification - Left hand drive to right hand drive.
2. Put big tires as in this picture.
3. Change automatic transmission to manual.
-How much will it cost all together and separately?
Hi just sell it and buy a Land Rover and put a big old V8 in it. The Honda would cost a so much money and it is an old car anyway.
still not a patch on my Toyota landcruiser we leave range rover sports behind especially on a long hill. Reason is simple ford engines in range and land rovers no oomph.
It's very very and extremely unrealistic to do so unless money is no object. If that the case: You would not have asked.
A 2005 CR-V selling in India with manual transmission and RH drive is about 440000 Rupees or about $7,120 US dollars. The same car sell for 346000 Rupees or $5,600 US in the States.
Any conversion will cost at least twice that much, either in India or in US. Do the math. If I were you, I may sit down and do the calculation to see if any profit/ money left over or made afterward (The conversion) selling/ keeping the vehicle.
There are other costs involving to import/ export a vehicle into any country. Have you looked it up yet?
Buy the CRV in the UK, save the shipping and dash change over.
Just changing the transmission OR the steering would cost more than the car is worth.- never mind shipping costs.
Compleatly uneconomical project. Forget it!
