My Honda CR-V has nails in the tires, can I get a refund?

Two tires have nails in them and losing air fast.

It is not the fault of either Honda, the dealer, or the tires place that you drove in a construction zone. You get a refund only if the tires were that when when you bought the vehicle and then only if you bought from a dealer.

dealer would have right to correct the situation [replace tires] rather than refund the entire vehicle.

A refund for what? You are the one who drove over the nails. The tires didn't come with nails in them!

No sir

Nope. See if you can get them patched / plugged. If they are not in the tread - you'll need new tires…

Are you saying that they were sold to you with nails on them?
no?
then its your responsibilty to have them fixed, unless you bought them new AND paid extra $$ for road damage insurance, if you did, bring them back, they will determine if they can be repaired or exchanged.

Just plug the tires yourself… It cost next to nothing.

An unscrupulous dealership could spread nails at the exit of the business to general some tire repair work. You would have to spy on them and catch them in the act.

No

  • What to get for Dual Sprt Tires? I own a 2014 Honda Crf250x that I plan to make a supermoto. I can only find DOT approved tires for the road, but I will take the bike on the road only around 20% of the time, so I want to buy DOT approved dirt tires. Does anyone know of such a thing?
  • How do I know what kind of tires to get? The cheapest way? I have a Honda with185,000 miles on it. It needs new tores soon but i'm not sure which tires to buy. There are tires rated for 100k miles and some rated for less like 40 or 60k miles. Is it best to pay a little more for longer tread life or is it cheaper to go with cheaper tires initially but they have avshorter tread life. I plan to keep the car for a long time. But not sure how to make the decision on which is cheaper in the long run. Anybody got suggestions?
  • Getting a refund from a dealership on a cancelled warranty? I bought a used car from metro Honda and added the extended warranty for $1600. I cancelled it the following day and was told I would receive a refund with in 2-3 billing cycles. It has been 3 months now and haven't seen a credit on my account. I plan to go down tomorrow to inquire about it and express my unhappiness. What can I do to ensure I will receive my refund/credit. I do have a copy of the cancellation form dated and signed.
  • When should I do an oil change, rotate tires, and balance tires? I purchased a brand new 2013 Honda Civic LX Sedan in just this past february. I'm currently at 7,300 miles. I scheduled an oil change, tire rotation, and tire balance for this upcoming Saturday. Is that too much for a brand new car? I wasn't really sure.
