What are the pros and cons of having an SUV over a Sedan?

An SUV like a CRV or Rav 4 and a Sedan like the Cruze or a Corolla.

Some people say its better in snow cause of the 4WD system. Does it really make a difference?

The guy at Honda also said wth an SUV you are higher off the ground and have a better view. But does that really matter when driving? Civics are low but does that make them unsafe?

I can't find a 2012-14 Honda CRV or a 2013-15 Toyota RAV4 online that is < 15k, has < 50k miles and was never damaged or in an accident?

A couple of weeks ago, my car (a 2009 crv) got totaled in an accident and am looking for a small, reliable suv (that has the same cargo space as my old car) so I've came across these two vehicles on various websites. Insurance gave my family ~9,000 for the automobile. Does anybody know if and how I can find one offline or for much less money based on my criteria?

How much does a new dashboard cost?

My mechanic told me my 2008 Honda CR-V may need a new dashboard because the readout section which shows the oil usage, mileage, etc, keeps flickering, or disappearing and coming back, or showing symbols which don't make sense. The battery is good and he is going to check for any loose connections. If no connections are loose I need a new dashboard according to him, because eventually there will no lighted dashboard. The SUV has 150,000 miles. Is is time for a new vehicle or replace the dashboard?

Is there any way I can put in an aux cord to play audio if I only have USB ports?

I started leasing a 2019 Honda CR-V recently, and the only inputs seem to be USB ports. My friends like passing around the aux cord when we drive places, and though the CR-V does support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, switching between a lightning cable and a micro-USB seems like a hassle (since they have different phone models). I found some USB to aux adaptors online, but the reviews on them say that they can't be used to do what I want.

Should I trade in a Honda for a cheaper less reliable car?

My Honda Civic is worth about $12,000 and I want to trade it in for older and higher mileage Honda CR-V or Element which cost about half that.

Not only do I want a larger car cause the Civic is so cramped but honestly I could use the extra money. My family is totally against it saying I should keep the Civic since it's paid off and super reliable also got 60mpg recently. Normally gets 50mpg on the freeway while CR-V or Element will get half that.

So do you think I should go ahead and trade it in or keep it?

Should I get a Honda?

I drive an 04 Chevy impala base with only 118,000 miles on it. I was looking into an SUV for the winter and Honda quoted me a good price to lease a 2018 Honda CR-V. For 5k down, I can get it for $189 a month. I looked at the RAV4 too, but they didn't give a good price honestly. I'm just worried my impala won't make it to next year this time bc if it's age, even though there's not a whole lot wrong with it and I'm worried that I'm gonna have a really big monthly payment if I don't do it now.
What do you guys think?
