Spare key doesn't work to unlock door electronically?
I'm new to cars and my mom allowed me to borrow hers for the next two months while she's out of town. The thing is, she gave me her spare key, and the alarm won't work. The physical key unlocks the car, but I can't unlock/ lock it remotely. Any advice? The model is a Honda CRV
Do it the old-fashioned way and put the key in the lock.
Maybe the battery needs replaced?
- My car won't unlock w/ the key remote? I've a 2000 Honda Civic. Today, the unlock remote wouldn't unlock the car. However, when I press the remote, the little light on the remote still blinks red. So does that mean it's my CAR that's the prob? *r u guy saying replace battery in the remote, or in my car?
- My car won't unlock w/ the key remote? - 1 I've a 2000 Honda Civic. Today, the unlock remote wouldn't unlock the car. I replaced the battery in the remote today and it still won't unlock the car. What do I do next, and how would I go about doing it? For example, how can I move my car to a mechanic or dealership if I can't get into it? Tow? Thanks *And how do I get inside the car w/o setting off the alarm? Or is the alarm off now, since the car may be out of sync w/ the remote?
- Lost keys - does my car need an ELECTRONIC replacement key if i have a spare? The spare is all metal. There aren't any electronics in it and it can start and drive car. My car is a 2009 or 2010 honda civic.
- Lock and Unlock buttons on my 2002 Honda Civic remote don't work? I press the red unlock and lock buttons and the light flashes on the remote, you hear the car beep, but the doors don't do anything?
