What car is the best for a teen?
My son is 16 and is looking for a car. His choices are a Honda Civic coupe, Acura Integra coupe, or a Honda CR-V. All will be a manual
All three automobiles you mentioned are of good quality, safe and very reliable. Honda/Acura makes some of the best quality and reliable engines and drivetrains in the business. You would not go wrong with any of the three. If you son prefers the Civic you should feel very comfortable with that choice. And to add, in all likelihood, the Civic will be the least expensive to insure.
Honda Civic to start off
Depends on what kind of teen you are, I suppose many teens have friends who want to cruise along in their ride so I'd go for something that has enough space for the bros and hoes.
Acura Integra coupe I would choose…
You named 3 very adequate choices.
Honda holds a very good reputation for quality and simplicity.
My personal favourite of the 3 is the CRV, due to the B-Series 2.0L - 2.2L engine (Integra is also B-Series) being indestructible (Virtually) and they have a very straight-forward and modestly rugged build.
The Civic Coupe and Integra are also excellent choices, but have more option for heavy modification.
If your son is anything like me, or many other teens, then that baby may end up in your driveway, getting an Engine swap. (Yes, In my mothers case this happened, twice)
If this isn't something that may happen in your case, the Civic and Integra are great options, with better MPG than the CRV… AND, if he wants to be way cool, get the Integra, as the "street cred" is strong with this one.
- What's the best car stereo/speakers to get for this car? My husband has a 1993 Honda Prelude and I wanted to get him a great car stereo or speakers for Valentine's Day. But I don't even know where to start looking. I know someone who can install, but I just need the speakers.
- Is a minivan a good first car for a teen? So I'm 17 and just got my license and I'm an excellent driver, according to myself and anyone who's ever rode in a car with me… My parents are going to give me their minivan which is a Honda Odyssey 2007. Not that I'm unappreciative of them giving me a car for free, but I wonder if this is safe? Since it's such a large car would it be safer to drive a sedan like a Civic or something?
- Which car best for a first car? Which of these cars would be best value: 1. 2000 Honda CR-V (230000km) 2. 2002 Toyota Rav-4 (350000km) I'm not stupid and do no quiet a lot about cars but which would you get and i know that the Honda has a lot less km per year but its older. Thanks you. The Honda is $3590 and the Rav-4 is $2950
