Where should I take my Honda for service?

It's a 1999 Honda CRV with 150K miles on it and it runs great. Should I take it to a Honda dealer? I usually get my vehicles serviced at a Goodyear shop, does it really make any difference?

Are you happy with what the Goodyear people do for you? If so, don't change. IF you went to Honda, and a O2 sensor suddenly needed replacing… Would you kick your own pants thinking Honda wanted to pad their repair docket? Don't change a winning game. If a front end CV repair is due, could Goodyear do that? If not, Honda may be the best for this "heavy" work. (as opposed to oil and spark plugs…)

No point paying the over the top prices for a dealer service when any decent garage will do it for a fraction of the price. You would save even more if you service it yourself.

Depends on the type of maintenance. For routine maintenance Goodyear shop is fine. For major repairs go to a dealer.

Don't take it to a stealership. Find yourself a friendly mechanic/independent garage that will keep the repair bills down.
