Exhaust help NA at high rpm?
I have a 1993 honda prelude with a h22 type r head that revs to 8200 rpm. I have a Cold air intake in the fender and headers, the rest of the exhaust is stock and at around 7100 rpm i notice a lack in power.
would a naturally aspirated motor help with a stright pipe the rest of the way or does backpressure need to be their as their are no turbo?
Yes but the question was if finishing the rest of the exhaust will help the high rpm. Like if a dual exhust catless or a single performance
The motor might need re-tuned to match the free flowing intake/exhaust system. Something like a Performance chip in the ECM. Summit Racing Tech line could help. 1-330-630-0240
- Is the reason why a motorbike engine won't work in a car because they can't produce high torque at low RPM? I have a 1.3 litre Mitsubishi Colt. Maximum power output 94 BHP at 6000 rpm Maximum torque 92 FT/LB at 4000 rpm Honda 2017 CBR1000RR 1 litre Maximum Power output 189 HP at 13,000 RPM 85.6 FT/LB at 11,000rpm
- How come my CRX cuts out at high rpm? I have a 1991 Honda CRX. It has a 1.5L (D15B2) and it has like 196xxx miles on it and it's automatic by the way. When I step on it, it accelerates fine but when it starts to get to the high rpm range, it starts to like cut out. I've changed my plugs and wires and also the head gasket. Any ideas on what it could be? The car starts right up and the car also vibrates at in gear at idle but the idle is fine. It's not too low.
- Why does my 1997 crv RPM jumps up and down? My honda crv's rpm jumps up and down at random times on drive, park, or even when the engine is turned off. At the same time, the car would stall when driving (even at around 60-70+ mph) stepping on the car pedal and revving the car would stabilize the stalling. At low speed, 0-30mph, the car would stall and die. I can't figure out the problem! I bought new spark plugs, new distributor cap and coil (except the distributer itself) what can it be?
- What type of exhaust gasket should I use when fitting new exhaust? I would like to install new exhaust system on my car and was wondering if I use the flat oval shape gasket or round conical gasket or both? I'll be installing a backbox and centre pipe. It's a 1998 Honda Civic.
