Are Honda Fit's good/reliable/safe cars?

I feel like these are good first cars from reviews etc… And I could get a used one at a decent price (below $6k). Anyway, would you recommend a Honda Fit for a first car?

Of the tiny, cheap cars, Honda Fit is king. If you look at 'comparison reviews' where they compare cars in that class--the Fit, the Yaris, the Versa, and a few more--the Fit always comes out on top. It's easy on gas, VERY reliable and long-lived, etc. What more would you want?

Please do some research (Google) on what to look at on a used car. There are warning signs.

Nope…

Personally no, I don't like Hondas

They have the best reviews by far of the subcompacts. I think most people should move up a class if they can and get a compact. And there's always risk with only $6k to spend.

The 2019 Honda Fit ranked #1 in Subcompact Cars. Currently the Honda Fit has a score of 8.4 out of 10 which is based on our evaluation of 43 pieces of research and data elements using various sources.

Very much so, yes. They are pretty much the best compact hatchback type car available.

  • What kind of cars are safe from flipping over? The freeway next to my house has had several Honda oddyseys flip over. Noone was killed though. Alot of white drivers texting and drinking drive and getting away with it as part of privilege, what cars can prevent flipping over to buy.
  • What are some good and reliable sports cars by these brands? I'm looking to buy a sporty type car from one of the more reliable brands. From what I've heard, Toyota, Honda, Acura, and Hyundai are pretty solid. By good and reliable i mean which cars hold their value the longest, which cars are the least expensive to fix if something did go wrong, etc. I'm just looking for a basic list of some good cars that cost less than 20,000. Obviously not looking for brand new cars
  • Are VW new beetles safe cars for new drivers? I really want a VW beetle when I get my drivers license butI ve heard some people say they are amazing cars and others say they are unsafe and unreliable. I would get a model between 2002-2010 for reference. Lastly do they break down a lot? Would I be better off with a honda?
  • Are compact and subcompact cars safe? I ask because my mom says that, for example, a Honda Fit or even a Civic aren't safe cars. She says the smallest Honda I could drive is an Accord (and I know they don't have a sedan larger than that). So, is it true that cars like the Civic and Fit aren't safe?
