Is it okay to use an aftermarket AC condenser in my 2011 Honda Fit?
I need to replace a leaking AC condenser in my Honda Fit. The dealer quoted me a ton so I'm taking it to an AC repair shop. However, the repair shop doesn't use parts from the original manufacturer. The owner told me that the aftermarket condenser has the same specifications though. My concern is that the dealer warned me about aftermarket parts because the pressures involved could mess up other parts. Should it be okay as long as the specifications are the same?
Dealers always lie about aftermarket parts because they want to sell you similar products but twice more expensive.

2011? The car should still be under warranty and the dealer shouldn't be charging you for it however your perfectly ok to use an after market part, pretty well all my parts on my car are after market including the condenser and it works perfectly ok
