Kia Rio5 - is it a decent car?
My current car (2001 manual Toyota Echo) has broken beyond my repair at a horrible time financially for me. I have about $5000 to play with (hopefully) and I'm having trouble finding a decent car. I test drove so many today and there's something wrong with each of them, ranging from leaking seals all around the car (2007 Honda Fit) To bad transmission histories (Dodge Caliber). I've found a 2009 Kia Rio5 listed for $3995.00 but I'm not sure if its a good car. I've personally never heard anything bad about them but people I know say people they know have had bad experiences with them, never anything specific though. These are the specs of the car:
4 Cylinder
5 Speed
5 Door (Hatch)
125,000 Km
Color: Blue
Front Wheel Drive
Power steering
Rear window defroster
Rear window wiper
CD player
Bucket seats
Airbag: driver
Airbag: passenger
So far its looking like my best option. I absolutely loath driving a manual but I'll put up with it if the price is right. Is it a decent make? Does it sound like a good deal?
Hi yes given it is now 5 years old at about the time most cars start to cost money. As it has gone over the 100k mark it is no longer covered by the kia warranty so it is going to cost you when it needs a major part. Kia is another of the FORD MOTOR COMPANY products made in korea. So it will need to be considered when purchasing this make.
- What would be a better car a 2012 Honda Civic or a 2012 KIA Soul? I'm going to buy one of those cars and I want to know the best things about them both. What do you guys recommend.
- What type of cool decent not too expensive cars do you recommend for a college freshman? I want a cheap decent car but to be cool and have a weird some unique style, even if it's old model. I can get a honda or toyota 4cylinder but they are too plain and everywhere. I want something cool yet economic and cheap but I don't know A lot of models. I don't mind an old pontiac or buick coupe but I don't know which model and they are not economic right. I don't know ahh probably a stupid civic is all I got.
- Is a 2004 Honda civic with about 90000 miles selling for $5000 a decent deal? I trust the dealer selling it. The car is in clean condition. The mechanic says it is in good condition. Is the car worth it? I want a car that will be pretty reliable for at least 5 years.
