Here is my situation. I'm 21. I drive a 2009 Honda Fit manual transmission. I'm moving to Phoenix and it will be a 1600 mile drive. Unfortunately I'm a delivery driver at Domino's but I expect to have 140k miles on my car by the end of this month by the move date. I've tried really hard to take care of it. I've stayed on top of oil changes with mobile 1, struts/shocks changed, new tires, alignment, new brakes, coolant, serpentine belt, air filter, cabin air filter, and changing spark plugs next week. I knows hondas last forever however I just want to make sure do everything I can to prepare. I have roadside assistance, full size spare, tools, ect
Personally I think me and my Honda can do this without a sweat BUT I just wanted others opinions before hand. I've done almost all of these things recently (other than oil of course) so its cost me a pretty penny but I this is a small gamble so I want to do this smart. Car has timing chain btw.
Added (1). I changed the serpentine belt with an oem belt, kyb struts/shocks, new sway bar links, hawk brake pads/brembo rotors, valvoline honda coolant, always mobile 1 high mileage, and got alignments often since I have a lifetime alignment. I know I've purchased "over qualified" parts for the mileage of my car but since it's my income, I really need it to last, and although I'm not a fan of my car performance wise. Its treated me well. It saved me I'm really tough times and really deserves quality.
Added (2). I also will/have a battery jumper just incase… But batteries are $100 anyway if something goes wrong
