Should I mod my car? Or should I save up for another one to mod?

So I really want to mod my car but I'm not so sure because j search up online to buy a supercharger kit for example or any mod in general and i can't really find any "specific fit" for it.

I have a 1999 acura tl 3.2 , 175k miles, no mods right now. I have "upgraded" it's interior to make me feel at home lol then now I want to make it a whole lot faster, I saved up a good 3k for a supercharger kit, I'm willing to save up more if it would cost more, but the thing is, there's no supercharger kit specifically for this vehicle so this makes me doubt the car. I mean the car is in perfect condition you can say especially for a 175k mile car. So my question is, should I upgrade my car and if I do what do I add to it?

If not this car, what other car should I get? I was thinking of getting a Honda s2000 , or a miata, cuz those 2 have like a lot of support and much easier to find direct fit parts. I was thinking of a mustang gt as well, but I feel like they are a little "burnt out" I want a car that not many people have and that I can mod little by little to make it a monster lol please help y'all I'm completely lost and I don't wanna end up regretting anything.

That is a personal choice, a matter of opinion.
My opinion; If you have a workable car that gets you from A to B and on to Z why change it.
Throwing vast sums of money into a heap of metal, that will eventually end up in the hold of a scrap metal ship, as a personal statement / status symbol is just pointless in my view.

If you are looking for unique cars to mod you really have to look for luxury coupes. Regardless an Acura TL is not the car to mod with a super charger. You need to look at something like a G35 coupe or a WRX. You do have to be careful with superchargers since they can end up putting a lot of stress on other parts of the car that were never meant to take that kind of power.

Get the engine rebuilt. If you do a compression test, I'm sure you will find it low. What's it got, 200K miles on it? Bolting something on to a tired engine would be a waste of money.

  • Should I save up for car or stick with truck? Okay my family has 3 trucks, they gave me one that's usally sitting around. Excellent condition. Toyota tacoma 2003 4x4 with sr5. Only thing I hate is the mpg. I have a part time job and in high school as a sophomore. Should I start to save up for a car (mazda, scion, honda) with much better mpg or just stick with the truck? It gets about 15 mpg. I was looking to get a a car around 5k.
  • Will this be enough money to save up for a car? I'm 16 right now, and I work at a banquet center. I make minimum wage per hour for one day a week. (Sometimes two if it's busy). I get paid every Friday. So I was wondering if I save up my money, and put it in the bank would that be enough by the time I'm 18? I either want to buy a Pontiac g6 (2008- 2005) or a Honda civic (2009-2004). And they usually cost around 8k - 10k. I also have $3,100 saved in my account. Would this be enough?
  • What is the fastest way for me to save for a car? Everyone I want to save for my first car which is $2000 a 1998 honda civic with reasonable mileage and i just got my first job 2 weeks ago at burgerking and i had a method of saving $50 every week but not sure how quickly. ICan get a car before i start college in august can you guys help me please thanks
  • Should I buy another car? I currently own a 2004 Honda Civic Si Ep3 with the HFP package. It has 159k miles and is in perfect running conditions. I really like the way the car looks and how unique and rare it is, but I'm deeply disappointed in how underpowered it is. I want to buy another car, preferably an S2000. I feel like I could get a decent amount of money if I sold the EP3, should I sell it and buy an S2000?
