What are some affordable cars I might like?
I'm going with my dad to test drive some cars tomorrow, and I'm trying to create a list of cars I might be interested in test driving. Even though I'm planning on buying a used car, I'm buying the car myself, so it needs to be somewhat affordable. I tend to like cars that look unique and different. Here are some styles of cars I like:
2013 Volkswagen Beetle
2013 Chevrolet Spark
2012 Kia Soul
2013 Honda Fit
Mini Cooper Countryman
"Unique and different" is an extremely admirable quest when choosing an automobile. I agree completely. However, choosing and automobile that of good quality, reliable, safe, are important aspects as well. The VW Bug, or Chevrolet Spark do not fall into those categories, and the quality of the Mini and Soul are marginal as well. Out of the bunch the Fit has the best reliability and overall quality record, hands down.
You should buy a car that uses less fuel.
Mazda 3 beats most or all on your list.
Mini Cooper & VW should be avoided for sure.
- What are some cars like the Nissan Skyline? I like the 98 coupe model, but they're impossible to get where I live. I've already had a late 90's Honda Integra but someone who I was letting drive it crashed it. I'm looking for another car like the Honda or something pretty like the Nissan 90's coupe models.
- Why is it that some husbands let their wives drive luxury cars while they drive ordinary cars? I've been observing some of my neighbors (one of them is a stay at home mom) and the husbands drive ordinary cars like Honda Accord or Honda Pilot. But the wives tend to drive luxury cars like Acura TSX or Acura RDX (some form of luxury car). What is the reason for this? Why do wives get to drive luxury cars while the husband drives ordinary car? I should say some of them. Its not a problem though but was only curious. The neighbors are Asians actually.
- How much extra horse power might I be getting for my Honda Pilot? I drive a 2003 Honda Pilot, and I have replaced the stock exhaust system with a straight pipe all the way back to a magnaflow muffler. I have also added on a spectre cold air intake. I have noticed a small increase in response time and acceleration. I was just curious if anyone has an educated guess.
- Why might my car not be starting? We have a 2014 Honda Civic, we made 2 trips today and it was running fine. Started right up no problem. We were trying to go to sonic and it wouldn't start at all. The engine didn't turn over there was just a click. The radio still comes on, the door ding still happens, but when you turn the key the lights on the dash surge all weird. Anyone have any idea why it won't start?
