Honda big red won't start after no oil in it?
I have a Honda big red fourtrax 250, 2007 I think. I ran with no oil in (didn't check oil) and it cut out. I immediately put oil in and it won't start back up. There's a spark and petrol getting to it. I have cleand carb and and put a bit petrol into wer the spark plug is going. The lights flash wen touching wires so could it be an electrical fault?
Hi No the engine is now seized solid that is why it does not start. Completely ruined.
Cleaning the carb won't help. The engine has seized due to a lack of lubrication. The engine must be re built or replaced.
After stalling because of no oil, an engine really should be completely dis-assembled and cleaned to insure no damage was done. The piston needs to be removed to check/replace the rings. You are lucky if the engine still turns over. It may just be a stuck valve. If you don't want to do all that, try squirting some light oil in the spark plug hole to regain compression. 1/2 second spray of WD-40 will suffice. If this doesn't work, dis-assembly is required.
It try's to turn very well ther is still compression in the engine and it does sound like it wants to start
- How should I fix this Atc Big Red 200es problem? While riding my 1984 Honda Big Red 200es, once the engine gets hot it will lose it's spark, and once it cools again, will run. I've checked and changed the spark plug connectors and the wires near the motor but it still has the problem. If someone out there has had this problem and can help that would be great.
- Have a 2003 Honda Rebel, won't start (no power) after it rained, I charged the battery, still nothing? Cold end is a little corroded but nothing serious, has been starting up before the rain. Suggestions? And it should be dry.

- Oil leak after oil change? - 1 I bought a used 03 honda civic that needed an oil change, when i bought it no oil was leaking or anything, i took it to midas to have the oil changed and a few days after i saw oil running down the engine, its not leaking from the filter or drain plug its leaking down the engine look at the photo where the arrows are pointing is where the oil is sweeping out.
