Honda can't fix my car what can I do?

I have a Honda HRV it. 2 years old so under warranty for another year.
It makes a grinding noise on acceleration.
The service dept. Acknowledges the sound but they say as of now there's no fix. We hate the sound and it is not pleasent to drive. Can't do the lemon law over the miles- (18,000) and we own the car and can't sell it with the sound. We're baffled that they can't fix it what is our re-course.

Call bbb

(a) Document everything in writing to protect yourself if this drags on past the warranty period.

(b) Tell the service manager and general manager at the dealership that this isn't acceptable.

(c) Contact the manufacturer's customer service line. And complain., and back it up in writing too.

(d) Get a preliminary legal consultation with a lawyer if a resolution goes nowhere anytime soon.

Thanks so much.

Go to another dealership.
Check with a lawyer.
Go to an independent mechanic.

Keep complaining up the chain of command - well past the dealership level.

The problem is in them not knowing what to do. The CR-V (and nearly identical HR-V) have a problem with grinding noises under various stress modes - acceleration, turning, acceleration during left turns… ) As the source indicates, engine mounts are usually at fault. Close visual inspection should identify the culprit.

Call the Better Business Bureau and report them. Then call Honda and raise hell. Bet it works!

Contact Honda (the manufacturer). Do not stop contacting them until they send a field engineer to the dealer nearest you. Document all your calls and their responses.
