Honda Ex 1998. Do I need adapter to install my radio?

I was just wondering if I needed an adapter or something because I'm getting this radio from my friend for my honda and need to know if I need one before trying to install.

I have a stock radio inside my honda. 1998 ex

Need? No. You can wire up the harness to your car's wires. The only thing you NEED is the harness that came with the radio. An adapter is generally used so you aren't cutting your vehicle's factory wiring. It's a lot more time consuming and you need to figure out what wire is for what.

Easiest way is to buy the 20 dollar vehicle specific kit and just splice that onto the Factory harness of the aftermarket radio. That way it just plugs right in.

You also probably want a trim panel unless your car already has an aftermarket radio. I highly recommend crutchfield.com They will give you everything you need just by telling them what car you have. They'll even throw in handy vehicle-specific and step-by-step instructions. They also usually throw in freebies that you need and would have to buy if you bought the kit from someone else.
