Honda oddysey van battery light flashes on sometimes? What does it mean?
My Honda oddysey van battery light flashes on about once every 5-10 minutes while driving. There are no other problems that i'm aware of and it still sounds like it runs good. Anyone know what this means?
Added (1). may i add this was right after i took it to a honda recall for airbag
The battery light comes on when the Alternator Voltage is low. Have it tested for free at a parts store. If it's good call the dealer and tell them what's going on.
Check connections to the battery / alternator etc. A loose wire or cable clamp in that area could could cause that problem, but because it makes contact 95% of the time, the battery isn't running flat, so the car still starts.
But loose connections usually get worse, so it's a good idea to track it down and fix it before it gets worse.
Edit: the battery would have been disconnected while they worked on the air bags, so it's possible that something is now loose
- I just pulled into the parking lot at work and when I got off my van I noticed I had more space to back up so I tried to turn on my van and? It was dead. I checked the ports and everything looked good. The battery is new. What can it be? I have a 2006 Honda Odyssey EXL

I also got the catalytic converter and MAP sensor replaced in my car as well. My dad believes it could be the fuel filter, but we have no clue what it really is.
- What does it mean when the battery light comes on an the car is harder to steer? 04 honda accord. only problem is the electric system. i mean, i have to punch the left headlight to turn it on. but today during the rain, i saw the battery light turn on and then when i made a left turn, the steering wheel was harder to turn. like something was stuck between the wheel or something. But then the wheel was back to normal like nothing happened. i remember hearing noises like a whimpering dog in pain. But no dog. maybe something broke? i don't have power steering.
- 2008 Honda Accord V6 battery light comes on and off. Battery dies intermittently? Battery and alternator has been tested at AutoZone and a local mechanic, both times all tested OK. Trying to avoid a dealership. Has anyone experienced this before? Assuming alternator, but local mechanic and autozone tested OK for alternator.
