Honda ruckus 50 is not getting fuel?
My friend has a Honda ruckus, he called me because I'm supposed to be the mechanical genius but I have no idea what this, The fuel line from the fuel pump to the carburetor works, The fuel pump clicks but is not sucking any fuel, there's fuel in the fuel filter… But the pump still won't work. It is getting power and making a clicking sound but it is not doing ****. What can I do to fix this without getting a new pump,… All answers are appreciated.
The bearings for the armature in the fuel pump motor are probably bad from wear and they have failed. It is more trouble than its worth to try and find bearings. Just get a new fuel pump.
If there's gas in the line AFTER the pump, on the way to the carb. And it's clicking, but not pumping, you'll need a new pump. I've heard of people hitting them with a mallet/hammer. Seriously.
an in-tank pump, hit the fuel tank with a mallet while someone cycles the key to acc and off. Might work, might not. (I just replaced my pump today, it sucked. Er didn't suck.)
Of course if that works, it's going bad and you'll need a new one anyhow.
- Purchase dropped Honda Ruckus? Front wheel alignment is slightly off? I'm looking to purchase a Honda ruckus. I found a used one that was dropped several times. The steering alignment is off so you have to turn the handlebars slightly to the side to go straight. There's no damage to the body but I'm wondering if this is something that can easily be repaired or should I stay away. Overall it runs well and has a little over 4K miles.
- Step by step to strecth and lower a honda ruckus? I'm curious as to how i go about this because i want to be the one to build my dream i don't currently have one or a specific year in mind but id also like to eventually swap out the stock 50cc for a gy6 150cc motor. Alink will even do if you don't really feel like explaining it all.
- Honda Ruckus, 49 cc, in florida, do I need a motorcycle license? Ok so, I'm 15, and I have a Honda ruckus. I've never been a fan of scooters, and I'm still not, but I drive the ruckus to ease my mothers mind, before I eventually get a motorcycle. Do I need to take a course and get a motorcycle license to drive a 49 cc scooter? I understand that there are differences between a 50CC bike and a 49CC when it comes to the laws.
- Do I need a motorcycle liscense to drive a Honda ruckus in Florida? So I'm 16 and I'm wondering if I get a 49 cc ruckus if I need a motorcycle liscence or just the regular class e one?
