Honda Snapper 5.5 Self Propelled Mower?
I mow the lawn for my parents and I'm trying to figure out a problem I'm having with a mower. It was given to use a while back and now it only starts if the throttle is at half way for engine speed. If you put it lower it stalls and at higher its sputters. I think at this point it is the filter or line between the gas and where it enters the motor itself.
Have you checked the fuel for water? If that is not the problem and the fuel filter has been changed. Remove the screw in bottom of the carburetor bowl. Clean the orifices in the screw one vertical and one horizontal.
- Will buying a newer mower solve my issue with dying while cutting thicker grass? I have an older 6.5 hp Toro and it dies frequently going through tall or thick grass. I bought a brand new Toro with a 190cc 7.25 ft/lb. Torque engine and it had the same problem, perhaps more so. If I spend a little more money (about $400 more than the new Toro) and get the Honda HRX217VKA will it make a difference? It also has a 190cc engine but I've read that the Honda engines are much better.
- New lawn mower pull cord will not pull out fully? Today we purchased a Troy-bolt TB130 160cc Honda engine push mower with an auto joke system. When we went to pull the start pull cord all it does it give a little slack and then completely locks up. If we slowly pull it wait for it to lock give a little back and slowly pull again more come out. What are wee doing wrong?
- Which head light is best for Hero Honda splendor plus (2009 model) (No self start)? I have splendor plus bike 2009 model. I have 35/35w halogen h4 bulb plugged for its headlight. But it is not comfortable for night riding. Then I replaced it from OSRAM H4 halogen R2 off-road 60/55w halogen. But it also not comfirtable for night riding on Highways. It is ok in empty road. Light intensity is very low. Please give me sugession which headlight can be used for better & Bright and safe night ride? Give me full information about head lights?
- I have a Honda HRX217 push mower. Backfired when trying to start it, now it won't start? It was running, then I shut it off to open and close a gate, and when I went to start it again there was a really loud backfire and now it won't start. It will sound like it's almost about to start but not. Then get progressively weaker each pull. I changed the spark plug and cleaned the air filter. Any ideas?
