Honda superhawk bogging and hesitating problems?
Ok my superhawk boggs and hesitates on long rides like it will start to bogg down then it will speed up very fast it has a very late reaction at times what might be the cause of this?
I would always look at the carb rubbers when the revs hunt. Try some soapy water around them, run the engine and look for bubbles forming. Check the airhole in the tank cap is clear.
The carb slide(s) may be sticking if this is a constant velocity carb setup. I know that is what happens to my Honda 750 Magna.
Chances are running some fuel system cleaner, and cleaning and re syncing your carbs will be the best bet. This is part of the normal maintenance that very few hawk owners follow.
Suggest that the entire fuel delivery system be gone through. Throttle, cable, grip and all the way down to the float bowls. Install an in-line fuel filter while there anyway.
- What is the maximum speed my car and cruise at in terms of rpms for an indefinite period of time without risking problems? My car is a 2003 Honda Element with 4wd automatic. The car has 160 hp with 161 ft lbs of torque. It redlines at 6500 rpms. At want maximum RPM can this car sit at and still last me 300,000 to 400,000 miles? Can it cruise 4,000 rpms with no problems and still last me up to 300,000 - 400,000 miles or chances are it won't and it would overheat?
- My bike keeps bogging down at full throttle? 2004 Honda cbr 600rr 41k miles. I was on the highway after work and there were no car so I decided to hit top speed 155. Full throttle it got up to 120 and felt like it was bogging down. When i rolled off the throttle a little it started pulling and got up to 130 then i gave it full throttle again and it started bogging down and losing speed. Its an older bike and i don't really have the money to take it to the shop. Any ideas?

- What is a good mileage to look for in a Honda Civic, Scion xB, and Toyota Prius to be used for a few years without too many problems? I'm looking at the above mentioned cars to be used for 1-3 years, but I do not know the mileage to look for. I d like to know the milage lifetime for each car mentioned, and approximately at how many miles the car will survive without having consistent problems. If you could give me the answer for each kind of car, or even one of them it would be greatly appreciated.
