How Cadillacs, Mercedes, BMWs cost more than Toyotas and Hondas
What exactly are you getting for that extra money? I mean,
you can get a Toyota that has leather seats, shaded windows, climate controls, and it would still cost less than a Cadillac XTS. What exactly are you getting for the extra money? Is it just the style you're paying for?
Buy one of each and see which you like best.
Generally the build quality is better, but that doesn't justify the price tag. Like buying Nike trainers or an iPhone, you're paying a lot for cool. In a logical world, you'd work out what you need and check out what offers the closest specifications. If you want a car to drive to the supermarket, a Toyota or Honda is probably the best choice. However when you floor the accelerator on your Beamer and it goes VROOM! Logic goes out of the window.
I *DON'T* know that BMW costs more than Toyota.
A 320 hp BMW3 4dr leather etc. Costs $34,900, the 300 hp Toyota Camry XLE V6 has an MSRP of $34,400.
Drive a Cadillac, Mercedes or BMW and you'll know. It's better everything.
Toyota and Honda are always at he top of the reliability lists whereas the other guys are resting on past laurels. A fool and his money are soon parted.
Aside from the extra creature comforts, in N. America, the added cost is in part a luxury tax.
A better quality car
- Why do used Hondas and Toyotas have double the mileage of GM, Ford & Chrysler? Shopping for used car and noticed Hondas and Toyotas typically have 200k or more miles while Big 3 only have 100k for the same price.
- Does a 4 door honda civic si cost more on insurance than a honda civic lx/ex/? I'm looking to buy a used 2010 honda civic si. I've had 4 other cars insured in the past. My insurance is progressive. I've done quotes on several years of the honda civic 4 door and they seem to be in my favor however, the quote doesn't ask for the trim of the vehicle. When i put my vin in will my premium go up? Sorry i'm bad at asking question if that doesn't make sense
- Are Kawasaki versys and such more comfortable than rockets? I was looking at something in the 650 range. So far I've found the versys 650 and Hondas cb500x. Wanted something that I could take for a longer ride than my klx250s. I like the ducati hypermoto but its way to expensive. Do these have the same laying down seat position as crotch rockets? I'd have to buy used anyways so if you know of any older models around the 2005 or such era?
- Are American cars more reliable now for a while people were just buying Japanese cars like Hondas and Toyotas? I really like the new Chevy Malibu, and I'm thinking about buying one but my dad gets mad and says "no! American cars are unreliable just buy a Honda or a Toyota"… Have times changed?
