How fast is the 2016 sprinter 2.0t compared to my car? Can it keep up with me?

My car is a 2003
Honda Element awd 4 speed auto. So one my co workers who happens to have his dad stop by at work pulled up in a 2016 sprinter. And long sorry short, my co worker and his dad took my for a ride in this commercial van that they own and I was pretty surprised by how fast imit was able to quickly accelerate up to speed. For a high roof commercial sized van, it weighs about 8000 lbs but it gets off the line from 0-60 maybe around 9 sec or so and on the highway, going for a 10 mile test drive, it handled highway curves pretty well cruising around 75-80 mph. Unfortunately the van wasn't governed at 82 mph. Which is understandable but my question is, if this van did not have a limiter, could it possibly keep up with other normal 4 cylinder cars on the highway such as my Honda Element? Or would my Honda be able to outrun something like this? Say I was chased by an angry driver in this van, how fast would my Honda need to go in order to keep a safe distance between it?

It's a cargo van, Mark. So it's not very fast. Why are you worrying about winning a drag race against this vehicle? Don't you have some more important life goals to focus on?

I think your honda would beat most mowing machines… But your thinking out of your box again .it will be a hearse next week…

Can my box beat that Mercedes sprinter in every aspect of performance?
