How good of a brand is poulan?

I own a small lawn care business and am preparing for winter, and I need a snow blower. I know poulan is made by Husqvarna, which is a good brand, however I know that MTD usually gives me good luck but lawn boy and yard machines, which is made by MTD, sucks. So, I don't know whether poulan is better, worse, or the same as Husqvarna.

I trust toro, ariens\gravely, MTD, cub cadet, Honda, etc

I do not trust yard man, craftsman, snapper, etc.

I have had trouble with Poulans I had two of that would not start warm. I stopped it and it would not restart a minute later. Looked in the gas tank saw bubbles -- the gas was boiling had vapour lock. Had to wait ten minutes before it would start up again.
My Stihl saws never did that.

I agree, Lawn Boys suck now. 40 years ago they were great! I really like Husqvarnas so would side with Poulan.

It is interesting that all the brands you dislike are made by mtd, and so are most of the brands you like. When you purchase a snowblower, you need to get the size that will fit the majority of your jobs. The next thing to consider is accessories, such as electric start, lights, available walking cab, tire chains, etc. The next thing is spare parts. Blowers use up a lot of parts when used heavily. A close dealer is important. Check your top three of four choices, and you, ll find they, ll all probably have the same or very similar engine. Your last concern is price. I would consider a used machine with new parts over a lesser new machine. Remember, these machines, in some areas, are used very infrequently by homeowners.
