How to deal with Americans who don't like immigrants?

My mom is Japanese and my Dad is English but I was born and grew up in San Diego.

My neighbor here is telling me to my face but in a friendly way that he hates immigrants and should not be letting immigrants into America. He is American and so are his ancestors

It was kinda hurtful. But it was weird. He was driving a Honda? Isn't that foreign? He was listening to the Beatles. Aren't they foreign?

I welcome legal immigrants. Ignore your neighbor.

I guarantee you, not all his ancestors were American.

I hate ɴɪɢɢᴇʀs more than anything else. Tell your neighbor that you hate ɴɪɢɢᴇʀs too and you do not want ɴɪɢɢᴇʀs in your neighborhood.

I would tell him in a friendly way that he is un-American.

I would just stay away from someone like that

Tell him that at some point many of his ancestors were immigrants who arrived in America either legally or even illegally. ONLY native Americans are totally American and the rest are immigrants or descended from immigrants.

Was he eating a banana too?
