I bought a car from Tony Honda of Hawaii and I found out this year that it won't pass inspection when I took it in?
The Rims stick out past the wheel well and and that wouldn t allow a pass. So it doesn't have any recon stickers and somehow they got it to pass. What can I do, do I need to speak to legal on the navy base. Can they take this car back? They never told me about this tuff and they don't exactly have paper work for it either. Somehow they made it pass the first time
Buy a used set of wheels and tires for $150. Problem solved.
Used car? You bought it "as is".
Is it the naval base that says your car can't come on base or is it the state of HI that says you can't drive on the streets? Most, if not all states, require the tires to not extend beyond the width of the fender wells. Were spacers installed on the wheel mounting lugs? Take them off or install wider finder skirts.

- Accidentally Took out the wrong engine cap in my Motorcycle while trying to drain the Engine Oil? My Motorcycle is a Honda XRM. I was trying to change engine oil but opened a different screw/cap just beside the engine oil drain.A 5 inch long spring and a rod with holes came out, i put it back the way i think it should be, then opened the Drain cap, drained the engine oil and filled it with new oil. But when i start the motorcycle it sounded like there's something loose moving inside the engine. What is the rod and spring that came out? Is it critical?
- I have a 1998 Honda CRV with 240 K miles. Needs $1200 of repair to pass inspection. Should i fix or buy a newer used Honda civic? Mike? I'm the original owner and have done a good job with oil changes etc. However, it needs 2 front control arms with ball joints and rear struts to pass inspection. I've also gone past my mileage on a second timing belt (first one done at 90K miles). Car body exterior and interior is in pretty good shape. Inside looks brand new. But repair cost at 1200 + timing belt ~500 =~1700 in repars. Is it time for a newer used auto.
- When do I need an inspection sticker and registration for my new car in Massachusetts by? I just bought a 2014 Honda Civic Ex in Massachusetts today, and there's no inspection sticker or registration. There's an oil change sticker on it. I tried calling the car dealer but he didn't return my call yet. Will I get in trouble if I drive it to work tomorrow? I work in New Hampshire, by the way.
