I have a 2003 Honda Oddessy it makes a while noise only when I accelerate. If I let off the gas it stops and goes away. What could it possibly be? Sounds like it's coming from the driver side for sure.
'Sounds' like a U joint in the front drive. When the transmission shifts to a higher gear, does the whine also change or not? Might need a 'new' half-shaft, which is not that big of a deal anymore.
Its probably the engine
Wheel bearing?
Check the transmission fluid.
Power steering pump. Check that level.
Put it in Neutral or Park and step on the gas while standing still and listen to hear if it makes the same sound. That is to separate engine noise from transmission or wheel noise.
Otherwise see a mechanic and let them hear it. They probably can hear it while on their coffee break.
- What is the squeaky noise on my 2009 honda rebel CMX 250 when I start the first time (it then goes away). What could this be? I have a Honda Rebel CMX 250 and it makes a weird horn / belt slipping like noice only in the morning when the first try to start the engine. What could this be?
- My 2003 Honda hybrid makes a noise in the back when I turn it on? I have a Honda hybrid in really good conditions just bought it two weeks ago and every time I turn it on it makes a noise in the back where the battery is. I live in Minnesota and it's really cold and snowing here so I think that might be the problem.
- We have a 2006 Honda CBR. When you drive it, there's a loud whirring noise coming the back underneath side. What could cause that noise? The noise is situated around a CV boot on the left underneath side where the differential connects to the middle.
- Dropped motorcycle - engine sputters then stops. Later on starts, but stops again? I dropped my 2000 Honda Nighthawk CB750 on its right, picked it up in It was riding fine right after, then about 10 minutes later it sputtered and stopped while riding. Looked like the battery and starter motor were fine, engine just couldn't turn over. About 10 minutes later it started, and I rode for a couple miles. A few hours later I rode it again, but it only lasted about 2 miles before stopping again. I waited a few hours after that it started again. Does anybody have suggestions?
