Go with the Honda
I'll take a Honda product over a Hyundai any day. Honda's have better reliability and resale records compared to Hyundai's.
I don't know about the Honda HRV but I drive an 18 year old British built Honda CRV and it remains mechanically and structurally sound. The only parts it has ever needed (apart from routine service parts) are a couple of worn-out rubber suspension bushes. It starts first time and always passes its annual MOT (safety & emissions) test.
The Hyundai Tuscon is a good vehicle and probably more exciting than the HRV but my choice would be for another Honda. Reliability and durability matter more to me than styling and my Honda has given me faith in the brand.
Avoid Hyundais. Massive recall on their engines which burned oil.
Whomever told you the Honda HRV has poor quality does not know what they are talking about. All Honda automobiles are very reliable.
- Nissan vs Hyundai vs Toyota vs Honda vs Scion. Which one is more reliable and a better purchase? Nissan vs. Hyundai vs. Toyota vs. Honda vs. Scion… Which one is more reliable and a better purchase?
- If one or two ISP's ban a site and raise prices, can a new one rise up and compete? Why? Why not? What about Honda/Toyota? Or ' MCI & Sprint muscling AT&T aside? Anyone remember Nucor Steel? Each of those took advantage of very different situations, each with seemingly impossible odds. Thing is, they were all LEGALLY allowed to compete. How about here?
- I'd like to buy a used Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V or Hyundai Tucson, Am I better off wit 4wd/Awd or 2wd/Fwd? I live in the suburbs of Chicago and want a small SUV because it sits up high. But the question is am I better off getting an AWD/4WD or a FWD/2WD model? I'm tempted on getting a FWD model to save on gas, insurance and slap on some snow tires in the winter. But I've heard that AWD models hold their value better though.
- Honda CR-V, Hyundai Tucson, Nissan Rogue, or Subaru Forester? My grandma is looking for a new car and she'd prefer a small SUV. My family has no experience with Subaru and very little with Honda and Nissan, but my parents have had a very good experience with our 2013 Hyundai Sonata. From what I've heard, the Honda will hold its value the best but Hyundai offers a 10 year/100,000 mile powertrain warranty.
