I rear ended this car yesterday coming out of the gas station?

So coming out of the gas station yesterday, I rear ended the left back side of this guys truck… This is my first accident and I'm just nervous as to what will happen as far as insurance and my driving record. Also how much will it cost me?
His truck has like a dent and a scratch however my '95 honda's right front side is not that bad but it's not pretty either.
I have been thinking about it all night and lost sleep can someone please put my mind at some type of ease.
I have pretty good insurance. Just curious as to how much out of pocket I might have to come with.
Never been through this process before.I rear ended this car yesterday coming out of the gas station

You will need your insurance to handle this.

Your insurance will absolutely pay for the damage you did to the other vehicle. It is your fault since you were leaving private property and the road had the right of way.

If and only if you have collision coverage on your own insurance they will pay for the repairs to your own vehicle, less any deductible amount you chose when buying insurance. Most common deductible is $500 or $1,000, it should say on your policy if you have it and what you chose.

You pay your insurance premium for several good reasons. One the the reasons is to have your agent represent yourself in situations such as this. Simply report all the details to your insurance agent, they will take it from there and will let you know exactly what you should expect to happen.

Here's what will happen.

Do you have collision and comprehensive insurance or just liability? If you have just liability your car is not getting fixed. Either way and estimator will come out and look at the damage to the vehicle or vehicles that need repair. The owner of the car can take it any where they want for repair or can just accept to estimate of repair and keep the money. You, will have to pay your deductible. They range from $0 - $1000. Like I said before, if you only have liability, your car is not getting fixed. Yes, they'll raise your insurance unless you have accident forgiveness.

You may want to consider dealing with the guy on your own and pay out of pocket, especially if you are under 25 yrs old. If you do go through insurance, you won't have any out of pocket expenses for his vehicle (this is covered under property damage), just a healthy spike in insurance costs. If you choose to fix your 20 year old vehicle, you will need to come up with your deductible if you have full coverage. Assuming you don't on this age of vehicle, the insurance will not cover your damages anyway.

Your insurance agent will you what you have to do.
