Is it true you can tune cars to 1000+ HP? Can I do that to my Honda oddessey?

I really want to turn my car into a supercar. What would be the cost of doing this?

Yes its true but its not true for every engine. There's only so much you can do until you have to change so much its not the same engine anymore and there are limits based on if its a 4, 6, 8 or 12 cylinder engine
an engine like yours is not strong enough to handle even half that much HP before it just explodes, nor is the transmission or transaxle able to handle that much power but you could probably add 50HP if you spent a lot of money
to get 1000HP you'd want to start with a highly tuned engine to begin with like a mustang V8 that has 350 HP and add twin turbos or superchargers, change the chip, bore it out, add lower compression cylinders to handle the turbos and other changes then you. Want to get a better transmission, rear end, drive shaft, sway bar, brakes, suspension and so on so the rest of the car can handle the extra power and be able to stop quick enough and it would probably cost $35,000 to $50,000 all together not including the car to do all of that
spending anything close to that on a honda oddessey would be pretty dumb in my opinion unless you want to completely redo the entire van and strip out the interior, add a big v8 in the rear and make a crazy drag car out of it for the track only

The shadow is right, he gave you a great answer.
It will be close to impossible to turn your Honda on a supercar.

  • When is a Tune Up due on newer cars? I have a 3 year old Honda but it doesn't say when tune up should be performed. Just says to do it when the maintenance minder comes but it hasn't come on even after 70,000 miles!
  • Honda Odssey seems more comfortable than Town Country, is this true? I was comparing these two vehicles online, and the Odyssey seems to be a better fit. In comfort, in reliablity, quality… Etc. Or am I wrong? What do you think? I know times have passed where both of these vehicles have improved, but… I need all the help i can get!
  • Do you think Genesis will ever gain the status as a true luxury brand? Nissan, Toyota, Honda & Volkswagen all have their luxury brands (Infiniti, Lexus, Acura, Audi) now that Hyundai is trying to enter that market with Genesis do you think they will ever achieve luxury status like these brands?
  • How true is it that you should avoid 1st year cars due to unknown problems? I have always heard that you should avoid the first year cars (new model or major redesign) because they have the most problems. Is this true or a wive's tale? I was thinking about buying the 2016 Honda Civic, which underwent a major redesign, but I'm glad I didn't because they forgot to install some bolt in the engine which causes fires.
