Is there a muffler that doesn't really muffle the sound?

So I have a 1997 bmw 318i with a stock muffler, but the muffler is rusted out and has like 2 holes in it. So it's basically got a muffler that doesn't work because it has the holes and I love the sound of it, except it has a rattle from the metal stuck in there and the rattling ruins the sound. I want a muffler that is legally a "muffler" but doesn't really tone down the sound. I don't want a muffler like those Honda's have though. I heard that a glasspack muffler is what I need, what do you think? Or do you know better options?

Don't do it it will sound like a ricer and you will get made fun of. If you want something that sounds good get a V8.

Doesn't the 1997 318i have a 4 cylinder haha?

  • New alternator doesn't fit or it really hard to get in to the bracket, what should I do? I have a Honda Passport 1998, and I replace the alternator for it. I did check the new one and the old one, they are just the same. The problem is when I install new one, it hard to get in to the bracket even I try to wiggle and hammer it by wooden block. Should I grind the new alternator? Or is there any good solution for it?
  • Honda CRV 2013 beeper doesn't sound? Whenever I lock my car now, the beeper does not make a sound, and I do not think the security system is set. What is wrong? Is there something wrong with my car alarm?
  • Would a muffler change the sound? I just bought a 2006 Honda Civic sedan today and I was just wondering, I want more sound so right now it has stock exhaust, my question was if I get just the muffler without all the piping and stuff would it change the sound? Or would I have to get the whole kit like the pipes and stuff?
  • Is there any car that doesn't get horrible gas milage during accelaration? I Currently drive a 2013 Honda Civic which has a meter in the dashboard that reads from 0-70 MPG with a 35 mark in the middle but it usually goes to 70 when i let off the gas then if i press the gas down even like insanely lightly. It goes to 15 mpg and its hard to tell what its at because it changes so much. So please help if you have any good input on the situation
