Is this a reason to not a get a raise?
I've worked on cars for 7 years. I worked for Toyota for 3 years and Honda for 4 years. I'm and ASE certified master and Honda certified long story short the GM at the Honda dealer fattened up the shares ran the dealership into the ground with dishonest ethics sold the shares and just quit. We have a bad rep and no work now I found a job at an Acura dealer that was expanding The service manager told me he would pay me $13.00 I was at $22.00 to over see the quick lube UN till my bay was built. Then i get my raise and normal roll back My bay was built he put some other guy in it he hired from an outside source. He started giving me regular mechanic work after a week of it told him I won't do it until he pays me. He told me I need to prove to my self to him. I told him I have 7 years of experience and certified and I've done what's he's asked for the past week and ran his express lube for 3 months which are all thing that nobody can just walk off the street to do. He told me I can use my skill set, credentials, or experience as a way to get a raise or a promotion. Like wtf.
So start shopping. If you are really qualified you'll find someone who will pay you more. I'd do it and let him know that if they get there first he's going to have to significantly beat their offer.
If YOU believe a word of that BS, you couldn't even APPLY to take the test for ASE OR Honda certification.
Just about 25 years I've been wrenching. Never even got a cost of living increase without quitting, threats and absurdities. If you have not made yourself irreplaceable they will walk all over you. Look into another job. Railroad for example will appreciate skills you have now, regular pay, benefits, retirement.
In the US we're entitled to minimum wage. Nothing more.
Your experience doesn't count for ^&*( except for hiring. Obviously your certifications don't count for ^&*( either. You need to prove yourself, which obviously you haven't done yet.
- What's the deal with honda not being able to use coolants with silicates if it makes the coolant better and safer for the engine. Reason? Is it for a reason or just honda wants our cars to last shortly? Any more answers i was checking out that video then checked and notice newer cars don't use the coolant anymore so what's the deal we have to go back to inferior coolant i've read it eats the seals in cars? Any more information?
- Not sure what to get for my first car? So I'm a senior girl in high school who is about 5'4" and my parents are buying me a car for college. Now I can't get anything fancy like an audi or BMW, but I can get something like honda, hyundai, mazda, ford, etc. I want a car that is fuel efficient and looks good. I don't really want a muscle car or a super sporty car. I'm not sure what exactly what to get.
- Is the reason why a motorbike engine won't work in a car because they can't produce high torque at low RPM? I have a 1.3 litre Mitsubishi Colt. Maximum power output 94 BHP at 6000 rpm Maximum torque 92 FT/LB at 4000 rpm Honda 2017 CBR1000RR 1 litre Maximum Power output 189 HP at 13,000 RPM 85.6 FT/LB at 11,000rpm
- If one or two ISP's ban a site and raise prices, can a new one rise up and compete? Why? Why not? What about Honda/Toyota? Or ' MCI & Sprint muscling AT&T aside? Anyone remember Nucor Steel? Each of those took advantage of very different situations, each with seemingly impossible odds. Thing is, they were all LEGALLY allowed to compete. How about here?
