Mazda reliability? Particularly 2013 mazda 3?

I'm in the market for a new car and I was looking between 2013 Toyota corolla which is just boring and doesn't have as much features compared to Honda, or mazda. The Mazda 3 is at a good price 1000 dollars cheaper then the Toyota. So my question is, is Mazda reliable for that generation, or should I stick with a very well known reliable car maker?

Mazda is very reliable. For the last 25 years Mazda has built a famously reliable two seater, the Mazda Miata (Mx5). Mazda's 3 bowed to the public in 2004 model year. It has received exceptionally high marks across the board from consumers to editors of auto magazines. Consumer Reports and JD Power have also put their stamp of approval on Mazda as being reliable. The Mazda brand has traditionally been a niche car company. For years they were the only one manufacturing a rotary engine Rx8 until a few years ago. They have the best selling two seater in the world in the Mx5. And they have a compact car that has star power in every sense of the word. My choice has been to this day, Mazda 3.

Mazda ARE a very well known manufacturer and particularly known for exceptiomal reliability even when compared to other Japanese brands. They're a close second only to Subaru in all the recent reliability surveys I've seen. The Mazda 3 is also superb to drive, I had my first experience of one last Saturday when I drove my sister's automatic version along thirty miles of twisty undulating countryside roads in Leicestershire in the UK.

My only minor criticism is that some may find the driving seat a little too firm for long distance comfort, but I found it to be firm but comfortable.

It's much better than the Toyota and rather cheaper. The decision is a no-brainer.

  • Reliability: BMW X1 vs Acura RDX? I want to buy a new car, and am interested in getting a crossover or small SUV. The two cars that have peaked my interest are BMW X1 and Acura RDX. Which of these two cars is more reliable? I'm leaning towards Acura being the more reliable car (as Honda has a very good reputation in terms of reliability). However, I have never owned a German car, so I can't really compare through personal experience.
  • Honda CBR250R red line reliability? Heres the problem-how well built is the engine?-I have heard that the bike top speed is no more than 90mph but the reason I ask is because wether I get this bike or the CBR929RR am going to be riding around a lot especially long highway journeys. I would add a high air flow air filter and an exhaust system to the CBR250R so that would be a noticeable power increase for this particular bike I'm sure but IS IT OK TO KEEP IT CLOSE TO RED LINE FOR HOURS?
  • What's the best automatic Honda Civic 1996-98 model (ex. Dx.lx. Etc) as far as gas mileage and reliability? I was interested in the 96-98 hx cvt civic yet there are many complaints of heavy vibrations when stalling. Also I can't drive manual and can't afford to take lessons
  • 2013 Honda Civic or 2013 Toyota Corrola? I bought a 2013 Honda Civic for 15 thousand. Great condition, no problems. However I had the choice of that or a 2013 Toyota Corrola for the same price. Both at the same dealership. I kinda regret not taking the Toyota. Only reason being that I seem to be likin the "look" of the Corolla now. What would you pick, and why? Amy Civic or Corolla owners wanna input?
