1984 Honda 500 Interceptor a good starter bike? - 1

With no bike experience, only mopeds
I'm 17 almost 18
i found for 700
Have to pay for insurance
Will only have until I get out of hs, and join the coast guard and buy a new bike
Not a bike I would recommend for two reasons-
That bike is over 30 years old so finding parts for it will be a chore and you will need to do all the work yourself because you can't afford to have a Shop work on it.
The Interceptor 500 was a fairly fast bike for its day and probably still rather quick and that is not an ideal bike as a starter.
- Where can I find a Slip on Exhaust for my 1985 Honda Interceptor without breaking the Bank? On the highway my Yoshimura exhuast fell off my bike but i was already in 5th Gear so i didn't notice. Don't ask me how. But it was gone when i retraced my steps, i can Only imagine that someone picked it up, but now i need a new one and I Definitly need a replacement as fast as i can. Where would be a good place to start?
- What is a good starter dirt bike? I 160lbs and 5'6 I'm 25 and would like to start using a dirt bike. What would be a good starter type like cc's. Also, never driven a street bike. I have heard honda has good bikes.
- Motorcycle starter over heated starter and only the solenoid clicked so i rebuilt the starter n tested it with a battery n it worked fine? Put it back in bike and again only the solenoid clicks… Is there a fuse for the starter or a relay i may have blown? 1988 honda hurricaine 1000F i'm ready to hang it up but the bike runs so good when it runs. i ran out of gas n kept trying to start it till battery was dead and that is how it got this way. Please and thank-you starter works fine when hooked up to a battery off the bike. what gives?

Ok i'm 20 ans iv always wanted to ride a motorcycle ever since i was little and now i have a full time job and want to ride. I heard about the 250s but i know that id be tired of it after like 4 to 5 months while riding. I was thinking of the honda cbr500 i'm 5'9 155 pounds. Also how much would insurance cost and the paynents per month i may put 1000 down but i'm not sure i just want to have a decent amount of pay per month not too much
