1995 Honda Magna vs 1995 Honda VFR 750?

I'm looking to get one of these two but I'm not sure which one. I feel like I love these two motorcycles equally so do I get the cheaper one that I can find?
There's a huge cult following for the Honda Magna. It's the same crowd that admires Goldwings and Harley's. However, the VFR 750 is a harder choice because it was the first one-sided swing arm production bike. And quite frankly it's better looking than the CBR and old Hurricane line ups. The problem is that there probably is no following for the VFRs. 750's aren't popular as 600's.

- How many digits in my 1984 honda magna vin #? I went to get mike bike registered and the dmv tells me my vin# is wrong. Here is my dilemma: There are 14 obvious digits in the vin and before it there are 3 lower case letters. I brought them all 17 digits because i thought i had to have 17. Is it possible i only need 14 digits for this bike?
