About how much would a Honda CBR 300 engine weigh?

I'm looking for a suitable engine for an APU (auxiliary power unit) for an EV (electric vehicle) range extender. I've came across some wrecked CBR 300's for cheap and they seem to be just what I'm looking for. I take it the engine and transmission are one unit which is ok. But about how much would one weigh? I'm looking for something that's light, low emissions, and with close to 20hp/15kW continuous power.

You can look up the dry weight of that bike and most likely the engine weight is around 1/3 the total.

  • Upgrading 300,000 miles SOHC engine? I want to upgrade my hondas SOHC 1.6 ltr engine with new pistons, crankshaft, camshaft, displacement, engine head, valves and springs, cam gears, connecting rods, fuel system, and a small stage 1 turbo but the engine has 300,000 miles in it. If i upgrade it anyway, will it make the engine newer, or will i have to replace it either way?
  • I'm 5'4 I weigh 130 looking for cruiser/standard starter motorcycle? I want fwy accessible as well good for road trips up through the mountains. Possible durable for a Sturgis trip. But back to the basics. I'm tiny and I yes need to plant my feet on the ground to keep a bike up. I was looking at the Honda CBR300r but that is not good for long distances. I need a long distance and feh accessible motorcycle where I can sit up and not hunch or lay on a bike. Any thoughts advice on style type motorcycle for a beginner? No Vespa scooters or sports type.
  • How much would it be to repair my Honda cbr F2? So i have a 93 Honda cbr f2, 600cc, 18,000 miles. Its been sitting, cranks but won't start, it has a new battery. I'm pretty idiotic when it comes to motorcycle repairs since I'm a beginning rider. Basically I think it needs its carbs cleaned, re synched, spark plugs changed; also the on/off switch is stiff, horn doesn't work, and the throttle feels stiff. Any ideas how much itd cost to get this worked out, btw I live in northern California.
  • How much does the engine itself of each of these bikes weigh? Yamaha YZF R6 Suzuki GSX 600 Honda CBR600RR? They are all ~600cc. Kgs would be preferable but its easy enough to convert the weights. I can't find their engine weights anywhere.
