Am I asking for too much on my used motorcycle?

I have a 2013 Honda CBR 500 with 13,000 miles on it. I'm trying to sell it on Craigslist and letgo. The bike runs and rides great, with somewhat new tires. However the right handlebar is slightly bent towards the gas tank, the clutch cover is scratched, bar end cap is gone on left handlebar, NO mirrors, left side fairing is pretty scratched up, and the right fork seal needs to be replaced… Plus additional minor cosmetic damage.

don't get me wrong the bike still looks pretty dang good and it starts up with ease. I paid $4200 for it a couple years ago it had only 1800 miles. Now it has 13,000 miles plus all the cosmetic issues listed in the above paragraph. SO right now I have it listed for $2,995… Is that too much? I also have the title for the bike if that makes a difference.

May be.
Seems like a lot of cosmetic work needs to be done which can be costly even for a four-year-old. And you didn't mention condiction of the chain and sprockets. The fork seal may pose a problem since you did state that the left fairing was scratched meaning the fork tube could be bent from a go-down.

Your asking price seems like what a dealer would charge off the showroom floor(according to nada). Bikes off the floor are theoretically in near perfect condition without any major flaws. Wholesale is usually half of retail as a safety net for refurb and maintnenance that a dealer would pay. In your case, your bike seems to have been dropped or involved in an accident. I would assume you're in the lower spectrum of the pricing range of just straight wholesale.

Craigslist is great to buy on but not to sell always sell on Ebay you get top dollar and then buy on Craiglist. See below

"don't get me wrong the bike still looks pretty dang good "
No, it has been dropped on both sides and is pretty banged up. It would look horrible.
Drop your price to $1500 and you MIGHT get a buyer

You are trying to sell a wrecked motorcycle for $500 less than what I could buy an *unwrecked* 2013 CBR500R with 4,549 miles on it for on ebay.

So - yeah.

Mileage is a bit high for a 4-year-old 500cc bike, and the damage you have described makes it to be in POOR condition. I wouldn't give you more than $2000.

Obviously yes, asking too much-- no buyers have showed up with cash in hand have they? You are trying to sell a 'project' that will need a $1000.00 to get back to good/excellent condition at least. Settle for 'Rat Bike' price or fix mirrors, keep riding.

Fix your bike then sell

A multiple crash beginner (or 2nd) bike for 3 grand?

I've bought bikes with less damage and similar miles for under a grand.
I'll admit they were older.
