Best motorcycle helmet brands?

I want to get a Honda cbr125 motorcycle black and red or the Honda cbr 125 repsol

Bilts, a cheaper one, have same DOT specs as $500 Shoeis. Shoeis have $80 visors, they last a Bit longer than an HJC's visor, but not that long. An HJC visor is $30.

donr: No one here, No One, wants to hear you rant on over a Chinese made "fake HD " half lid, and how "tough" you look in it. AlL helmets Sold New in US have same DOT cert, none are non certified or certified better. I've worn None, just my do rag. I don't brag how "cool " that made me. Many here would violently disagree, and, with any less than a FF ; as it is foolish on a motorcycle to temp Providence. To say: "do you Expect to crash?", of Course, No one Does; or we wouldn't Ride. Do you ride/drive without insurance, also?
And you wonder why no one answered your Arlen Ness question…

I have worn Arai helmets for many years as they fit my head the best. Have had a few others like a Bell Star and an open faced Shoei also.

The one that is not the cheapest AND fits your head the best.

I look for one that is a snug fit all over and is comfortable.

I also look for removable inner and cheek pads, double D-ring closing.

All helmets that are on sale in retailers (where I live) must pass the same basic safety/protection standards - that does not mean that all helmets are the same - some will exceed the standards by more than others. Some helmets will be better constructed and engineered than others which often makes them more expensive but, like so many things that you use day to day, quality is worth paying for.

Do you intend to ride the motorcycle or crash it? Get one with the proper DOT certification. Everything else hits the ground before your head, so learn to ride safely and don't make the helmet so important. Wear gloves and sturdy shoes or boots. It always cracks me up to see some clown in shorts and flipflops riding with a Big heavy full-face helmet on he can hardly hold his head up under the weight of it. Here's all you need

The best brands cost over $300.

People here are right in saying it's the most expensive ones and you should ask the shop, they are really not trying to grab your money and they only sell cheap ones because it's better than nothing and some people can't afford better. I'm probably going to be lambasted for saying it but I found open faced to be the safest, it's obviously not the safest if you crash but I couldn't deal with the blind spots on helmets that cover your face. Don't buy second hand helmets because you don't know if they have been dropped and if it's cracked inside then it's worse than wearing no helmet as the cracked part will go through your head on impact.

  • Why is so few car brands in the US? I'm tired seeing of fords, chevys, hondas, toyotas, hyundais, kias, VWs, and etc. Isn't like renault, peugeot, citroen, seat, and suzuki good reliable cars?
  • Which car brands are better? I know Nissan, Toyota, and Hondas are good cars but also too expensive. I go to school full time and work part time so I need a car but don't want to buy a horrible car that will break down all the time. I was thinking of getting Chevy aveo, chevy cobalt, Chrysler pt cruiser, Kia rio or a hyundai Elantra something that doesn't cost too much which one is more of a reliable car
  • Which brands of cars are more reliable and less expensive to maintain? I have been driving American cars, Honda, Toyota and they're easy to find parts when something go wrong. I would like to buy a Volkswagen beetle or a European car. Like 2004 or 2003 Volkswagen beetle. If something go wrong, does it cost more to fix it? Is maintenance more expensive than a Honda or a Toyota yaris. I know the Honda and Toyota last forever after a few hundred thousand miles and they re still in excellent running condition with regular services. What do you guys think?
  • What's your most and least favorite car brands? State a specific model if you want. Favorite- 3 way tie between Porsche, BMW, and Mercedes. I have a Mercedes C320 and it's very reliable. I also own a Honda but I want to replace it with a BMW X5. I do hate a few of their cars such as the BMW X6 Least favorite- Dodge and Chrysler. Not impressed by their styling and build quality. I also hate Toyota, i know their cars are good but their cars just doesn't impress me
