Brake lever doesn't spring back on old motorcycle?
I have a 1980 honda cm200 I took off the wheel once to paint the rims and when I put it back on the front brake stopped working when I apply the brake and release it the lever does not returned to it's original position how do I fix this
John is on the path. Make sure you put fresh brake fluid in and completly flush and drain break line.
Sounds like you have mis-assembled the front brake. Download a copy of the manual & take a look at an exploded diagram of the brake & work out what you've done wrong
Okay it's a minor problem
firstly check your front break leaver is it not zam or anything.
Honda has two springs in front leather breaks first one is outside the break drum or hub and second one is inside its in the leathers.
So have a look first if both of them attached properly then get some engine oil (mobil) apply it on spring holders and joints where both pads are connected together.
I'm pretty sure you are missing a spring.
- Why is my clutch pedal staying on the floor and doesn't spring back up? I have a 92 Honda Prelude Si and I just changed the clutch on it. But now my clutch pedal has no pressure, I'll press the pedal and the pedal will stay down but won't spring back up at all. I already changed the Slave Cylinder. What's going on?
