Can a 4 stroke dirtbike be ran wide open?
Ok, so I have a Honda CR 85 (bored out to a 100) and A Honda CRF 100. I was just wondering if the CRF could be ran wide open in its top gear? Its a stupid question but yeah. I know 2 strokes can like my CR but 4 strokes are made more for off road so I was just wondering.
You really won't get much from the crf100 as it is a basic trail bike where the cr is a mx race bike. The equivalent in a 4 stroke would be the crf150r which is a mx race bike
Of course 4 strokes can they have more bottom end power thats what their made for! But 2 strokes don't hold it too long or BOOM! Lol
Any bike can be used flat out in top gear, depends on how well the engine is built as to how long it will last.
Also, don't forget, its only a 100cc engine. It won't give you much.
Holding a 4 stroke wide open for long periods can cause valve float. The harmonics will cause them start to float, and you can get valve to valve contact, and valve to piston. Both are very bad. Very bad. Really no motor is designed for WFO for long periods. Ideal you have a rev limiter that prevents that, but i don't know about something that small.
- Where can I buy a 12' open aluminium boat cover and or 9.9 Honda 4 stroke motor cover? I have been looking all over for these two items but have yet to find a set of decent covers. I can find covers for boats but not for a 12' open boat with no window shield. I'm preferably looking for an outboard cover that fits over the whole motor not just the hood.
- Is the honda 250r four stroke or two stroke? So i've found out that r stands for race… Most other bikes have either f or t for two stroke or four. So is the honda 250 a four stroke or a two stroke bike? Or is it neither?
- I need some plans for a 15x20 Shed. ( 15 Wide 20 long )? I need the shed to keep 3 3 Wheelers ( 2 Honda ATC 200x's And Honda ATC 250sx And 2 Dirt bike KX 125 and a KX 80 ) I also need to have enough room for a Tool Box and needs to be tall enough for extra storage space under the roof in the form of a small loft for engines and other junk. Would Perfer Metal Roof and a Wooden Frame. Would like it to be a little bit off ground but not much. Give me whatever you got so can bounce ideas off of it.
- How to drain 2 stroke oil and gas out of a 2 stroke fuel tank? I accidentally threw in low quality 2 stroke oil in my honda cr125 2002 and I've been told It could really harm my bike… All I want to know is how to drain all the gas with the 2 stroke oil out of my bike? Please no hate comments!
