Contact breaker points not sparking?
My Honda cb 125 twin is only sparking on one point which is causing the bike to fire only on one cylinder.
Can anyone provide some help as to why the point isn't sparking?
Either not opening or grounded. Got two condensers? Swap them around and see what you get.
Umm… Check the point gap?
See if the point is getting power.
Use a points file and clean the contact.
Spend $15 and replace them.
A nail-file to clean up the point's contacts or a grounded/loose wire.
Also check battery output. A weak battery will not have enough juice to power the headlight and give good power to the ignition at the same time.
An open circuit somewhere, dude.
The wire going to the points can be grounding.
Remove the wire going to the points (eliminate the condenser from the circuit).
Check to see if that wire is getting power.
- My 2006 Honda Metropolitan Moped is not running right? When I slowly give my moped gas it runs fine until I hit about full throttle, then it like starts to bog down, its hard to explain but we think its a carburetor problem. Due to the previous owner taking off then air cleaner for an unknown amount of time. If you can give me tips/advice I'd appreciate it.
- 1982 cm250 slipping gears, and not getting the right speed out of each gear? I have a 1982 honda cm250 bike. I recently had the motor rebuilt with new shift forks, etc. I got the bike back and it's doing this issue ( the same issue as when I took it into the shop). I was told that these are common issues with that year motor. I'm having a hard time believing this, as people say it is a great beginner bike.
